All businesses, Non-profit or otherwise must be registered with the Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office (CAIPO) located on Church Street. Along with the Articles of Incorporation, you will need to submit a letter of application containing your particulars. Here’s a small checklist:
- FEES: A total of $110 EC covers the cost of a name search, reservation and the cost to register your organization with the Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office (CAIPO)
- APPLICATION: You can collect the application form at CAIPO. Fill it out, duplicate it and submit it along with a duplicate of your application letter and the Articles of Incorporation.
During the wait time, develop your By-laws with your directors. These are detailed outlines of the organizations' operations and are necessary guides for any NGO. We’ll discuss this in a separate submission.
In a matter of days, you should receive word that your certificates are approved, signed and ready to be collected. Once that’s done, you’re officially ready to go.
