The Green Initiative
Sustainability and environment go hand in hand. The Green initiative is devised to ensure a healthy workplace environment that will deduce better productivity out of the workforce. More than 1.2 billion jobs depend on a stable environment and ecosystems. It aims to scale up the ILO’s knowledge, policy response and capacity to manage a just transition toward greener economies and a sustainable future. The Green Initiative focuses on three areas; firstly, on advanced research and understanding of the challenges and opportunities for the world of work arising from a green transition. Second, on forging policy responses from the world of work in all sectors to ensure decent work and social justice for all and lastly, on building strategic partnerships at national, regional and international levels. The whole of government in Grenada is focused on Green Initiatives and ensuring they are ingrained into our current and future endeavours. In this way, we will do our part to ensure the future for generations to come.
