Honourable Kate Lewis

Ms. Kate Lewis was born on April 27, 1982. She is from Paradise, St. Andrew.

Academic Achievement

She attended Paradise Preschool, St. Andrew's Methodist Primary School and St. Joseph's Covent-Grenville. She attended the T. A. Marryshow Community College from 1998 to 2000.

2000: Associate Degree in Social Sciences-TAMCC

2005: Associate Degree in Teacher Education-TAMCC

2005: Qualified Teacher’s Certificate- UWI

2014: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with First Class Honors- UWI

She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree online with St. George’s University in the field of International Business.

Career Achievement

Ms. Kate Lewis served as a teacher for 17 years. She began her teaching career at the Holy Innocents Anglican School and then she moved to the St. Andrew's Anglican Primary School and then finally the St. Joseph's Convent – Grenville, where she spent the longest time serving as a teacher. At SJC-Grenville, she was the volunteer teacher for the Junior Achievement Program for ten years, winning six Company-of-the-Year titles and represented Grenada at the worldwide competitions in Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico and Jamaica, placing 2nd in Uruguay. In 2016, she received the Volunteer Service Award from Junior Achievement Grenada for her contribution to the success of the Junior Achievement Program in Grenada.

Hon. Kate Lewis is the Parliamentary Representative for St. Andrew North East and the Minister within the Ministry of Youth Development, Sports Culture and the Arts with responsibility for Youth Development.
